Grêmio are close to signing 25-year-old striker Tetê. The player was at Panathinaikos in Greece and will sign with the Rio Grande do Sul club for four seasons. The parties depend only on bureaucratic details to successfully complete the negotiation.
In his first attempt, Tricolor tried to sign a loan deal with the Greek club, but the deal fell through with Panathinaikos. However, this Friday (02), the transfer evolved according to new directions. The values were not disclosed.
Grêmio had already spoken to the player. Tricolor trained Tetê in their youth categories and the striker left the Rio Grande do Sul club to join Shakhtar Donetsk in 2019. After that, the striker spent time at Lyon, Leicester, Galatasaray and, finally, arrived at Panathinaikos. For the Greeks, he has made 27 appearances this season, scoring two goals and seven assists.
