On Friday (11/14), Pontão do Lago Sul began the Imperial Christmas celebrations, which marks the official opening of the Christmas program in the Federal District. This year’s decorations focus on a classic, immersive atmosphere, with attractions ranging from a 14-metre-tall tree to a nativity scene installed within the illuminated structure itself.

Immersive decoration and focus on families
According to Lydia Alves, marketing director of Puntau, the proposal is to transform the area into a wonderful fantasy place.
“This year we brought the Imperial Christmas. It is designed to transport the audience to a magical place and create unforgettable memories.”
Santa Claus and Nolet
The main attraction is the Christmas Village, which combines Instagrammable spaces with Santa Claus’s house and a huge tree.
“A village with a giant tree. This year’s nativity scene brings something new to the audience: it’s inside our Christmas tree, which has a hole.”
The colors reference classic Christmas style, with an emphasis on colors and lights.
“We worked with classic, green, red and gold. We worked with Renaissance furniture and tapestries and everything is fitted to create this environment for the audience.”
The program continues until January 6 with presentations, activities and a visit to Santa Claus’s house.

Zika Lima opens Christmas with a special show
The official opening included a performance by musician Zika Lima, who prepared a diverse repertoire with reinterpretations of Christmas and musical genres for all ages.
“My style is very eclectic. I like all styles. And I feel that audiences today are more eclectic as well. So my show has a very diverse repertoire.”
Zika Lima
He explains that the Christmas atmosphere is an invitation to affection and nostalgia:
“Christmas time is for children and for all adults who have their inner child alive. It is the time when we begin to feel this spirit that lasts from November to December. With God’s will, we can prolong it so that we can be more human throughout the year.”
The singer invited the Brasilia audience to participate.
“So, people from Brasilia, come here, to Puntao, Lago Sul. The decoration is beautiful, Santa Claus’s house, the landscape. Puntao itself is really useful to us. Bring the children, bring your loved ones. There will be moments of joy and a lot of emotions.”
