After several days of strike due to non-compliance with salary payments, the Gimnasia team resumed training this afternoon at the Estancia Chica facility. After training, the team continues its focus in preparation for tomorrow’s match at 5 p.m., when it welcomes Velez to the Bosque Stadium in the 15th round of the Final Championship.
The coercive measure began after the school demanded a delay in paying salaries, which the leadership took responsibility for and committed to “paying part of the debt” this week, according to the board of directors. With this agreement, the players resumed their normal activities on Sunday.
By order of the technical staff, the team conducted physical and tactical training with the aim of preparing for the decisive confrontation against Velez. After training, the players concentrated in the club’s facilities to get rest for tomorrow’s match.
For its part, the leadership obtained an institutional deadline by ensuring that the payment schedule was partially activated before the match. In this way, Gimnasia seeks to end this turbulent week and restore focus exclusively on the pitch.
In terms of the squad, Zanerato rates the same starting players from the match against River, so the eleven will include Nelson Insafran; Juan de Dios Pintado, Renzo Giampaoli, Enzo Martinez, Pedro Silva Torrejon; Augusto Max and Nicolas Barros Schelotto; Manuel Panaro, Bautista Merlini, Alejandro Piedrahita; Marcelo Torres.
