Madrid, November 16 (European Press) –
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his conviction that the visit he will pay next Tuesday to Spain will lead to strengthening his country’s air defense, which is currently witnessing a new campaign of Russian attacks that focus in particular on energy infrastructure.
“We have been preparing for a long time and now we can say that the visit to Spain will be fruitful,” Zelensky explained on Sunday, at the beginning of a European tour that will begin soon in Greece and continue on Monday in France.

It should be remembered that the head of the executive branch, Pedro Sánchez, will receive Zelensky, as government sources confirmed to Europa Press, marking the second time that the Ukrainian president will officially visit Madrid after the start of the Russian invasion in 2022. On the same day, an event is scheduled in the Chamber of Deputies, which will be attended by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Francina Armengol, and the President of the Senate, Pedro Roland.
For now, within hours, Zelensky will discuss with the Greek authorities another fundamental issue such as gas supplies, and to do this he wants to conclude on Sunday in Athens an agreement to open an alternative supply route that supports the threatened domestic production.
During his visit to Paris on Monday, Zelensky will sign a “historic” multidisciplinary military agreement to “significantly strengthen combat aviation, air defense and other defense capabilities.”
