Education Minister, Camilo Santana, reported on Sunday (11/9) that 3,240 candidates were disqualified on the first day of the 2025 National Secondary School Examination (Enem). Despite this, he said, the test was conducted without major complications and with an abstention rate of 27%, a similar percentage to 2024, when 26.6% of those registered did not attend.
Exclusions were made for reasons such as: possession of electronic equipment, early departure from the testing site, use of printed materials, and failure to comply with inspectors’ instructions.
According to the head of the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research, Anísio Teixeira (INEP), Manuel Palacios, a person was arrested while taking the exam, but the case was not directly related to the exam.

Different dates
Three municipalities in Pará will have a different timeline for submitting testing requests. Exceptionally, Belém, Ananendua and Maritoba will apply on November 30 and December 7.
The measure is intended to better serve students in these locations, due to the logistical impacts of the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), which will be held in the state during the period in which testing is implemented nationwide.
Another location that will have a different history is Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, a city in Paraná that was devastated by a hurricane on Friday (7/11). Almost the entire urban structure of the municipality was damaged.
The Ministry of Education (MEC) has not yet determined the new date for testing in the city, but it is believed that it will be the same as in the municipalities of Pará.
