The dramatic event took place on 55 between the 23rd and 24th / Web
At around six-thirty yesterday morning, a man and his partner, from another town, were returning to their place of residence in Area 55 between the 23rd and 24th after participating in a party, when they were surprised by the criminals. The sun had already risen, and the city was beginning to wake up, a dawn that ended in fear.
According to the speakers, the victims parked the car one block away from the temporary apartment they were staying in, not realizing that two silhouettes on a motorcycle were watching them in the dark. Within seconds, a motorcycle stopped next to him and the rider got off carrying what appeared to be a firearm.
There were no shouts, just dry orders, spoken with the confidence that only those with experience in this type of maneuver possess. “Give me the keys. Give me the money,” a voice demanded from behind the helmet.
The couple was paralyzed. I ran, impulsively, towards the building to seek shelter. After learning of the threat, he handed over the car keys, the jacket and the money he had, about thirty thousand pesos.
It all happened in less than a minute, enough to turn returning home into a nightmare scene.
The attackers got back on the motorcycle and fled at full speed on 55th Street.
The large motorcycle was lost in the shadows before anyone could react. The shivering victim ran into the building where his partner was waiting for him in a state of shock.
In the area, there were no eyewitnesses and it was not possible to collect any cinematic material because “no one had cameras” in the building.
The few neighbors who were awake at the time said they heard the roar of a motorcycle and then sudden silence.
Investigators believe the perpetrators acted with knowledge of the terrain and precision.
This method – two men on motorcycles, wearing helmets and dark clothes, and armed – is repeated in different neighborhoods of La Plata during the early morning, taking advantage of the solitude of the streets and the neglect of those who return late.
For years these strikes have been going on throughout the city. Although the attacks began to occur in the central area of La Plata, and more specifically in the banking area, over the years, the robotic thugs have expanded their “hunting zones.” Today, an attack of this type can happen anywhere.
The 49-year-old worker, the victim of theft, lost not only his car and money, but also his peace of mind. “It was an eternal moment,” he later said. The case has been classified as “qualified theft.” Police are working to identify the suspects and find the motorcycle used.
