Participants this Thursday Celebrity MasterChef Those who performed the worst during this round faced a new problem Judgment ceremony. But since this week was for the judges, the challenge they had to face to stay on the show was extra special.
Upon entering the studio, Julia Calvo, Eugenia Topal, Maxi Lopez, Alex Bellao, Evangelina Anderson, Wallace, Ian Lucas, La Rene, Valo Cervantes, Susana Rocasalvo and La Joaqui – who were absent from the auditions due to scheduling problems – found a mystery box at each station and the presence of host Wanda Nara and one member of the jury: Damian Petular.
This presence was evidence of what awaited them. If in the previous days they had to repeat the dishes of Donato De Santis and Germán Martitegui, now it is the turn of the master pastry chef. Specifically, the 12 participants had to prepare a giant cake, and under the boxes they had all the ingredients needed to make it. They each also had a piece of the original cake, so they could copy the design and try the flavour. While passing by her ex-husband’s station, Nara wanted to eat her cookie, but Lopez was able to prevent that after an intense struggle.
But the challenge added a new difficulty: this time the participants did not have the recipe. The various quantities and preparation procedures were in Petular’s “head”. “When Wanda started testing, I I’m going to go around the studio loudly sharing the recipes you’ll need to make this“, he warned the jury.
And it happened as advertised: Using a loudspeaker, the pastry chef provided details about the preparation and the 12 participants worked in unison, first the dough and then the dessert. However, when half the time was up, Pitloar said he was fed up with the screaming and the driver handed out copies of recipes.
One of the main obstacles they faced was that not everyone had space in a cooler: Wallace had to leave his lotion out and one participant placed the tray incorrectly and left the door open. It was Rocasalvo who realized this and had to absorb all the preparations, investing part of her time. Fortunately, Everyone completed the test, but not everyone was satisfied with the result.
The first participant to step forward so the jury could taste her giant cookie was Tubal. “The ganache is perfect, and the candy too. I’m sorry you didn’t get to the aesthetics because you had a good base to be able to do that,” Petular noted. “The cooking is good, but I find it a little overdone,” De Santis added.
Then it was Maxi Lopez’s turn. Once the former football player placed the box into which each cookie was to be delivered on the jury table, Martitegui took a rag and began cleaning it. “Did you eat the petular cake?” the co-host asked as the judges tested his setup. “No, I was about to eat it. I passed and almost ate it“, replied the father of her children Valentino, Constantino and Benedicto mischievously.
“Will you have some double meaning in all the chapters?“,” Petular scolded. Avoiding the topic, Nara pointed out: “You know I’m a big buyer of your cookies.” Hearing her, the baker couldn’t contain his laughter. “Okay, buy…” he shot back, meaning Nara didn’t spend a single peso on his work. To shake things up a bit, he added: “We send each other other things.”
Then, Martitegui took the floor and pointed out: “This jury agrees that there is a technical fault in the dough which makes it so good. I don’t know whether I dare say that you have improved the pitular recipe… It is not an exact copy, but rather a free interpretation that is well presented“.
The head pastry chef added: “The ganache is at the perfect point, and the caramel and peanuts too. It bothers me that you were so stingy not to hit the edge.” After trying the cake her ex-husband made, Wanda finished by replying: “The truth is I am very proud. I thought we were saying goodbye to the country today. You exceeded the expectations we all had with your sweet recipe“.
In third place passed Julia Calvo. “The ganache is good,” De Santis said after tasting the cookies. “I think the chocolate was exposed to a lot of heat and the dough was cooked well, but it reached the middle.” Petular, in turn, noted that he did not put peanut butter in it.
When it was Cervantes’ turn, she came confidently to the front because she considers pastry her forte. However, upon tasting his cake, Petular noted that he would have liked it to be more baked, adding: “The above is not bad, but I have a lot of faith in you“.
Larini, who launched her own line of cookies months ago, was afraid the jury would come back. When Wanda asked him how he was doing with this project, he took the opportunity to explain: “It’s not mine. I collaborated, and for what’s sold every month, I take a small percentage. In fact, I lend my face. I don’t bake cakes.”
“In my opinion, the dough is overcooked. There are little bumps with the flavors that you find, and it’s unfortunate that you don’t get to the edge,” Martigui said. “There are few things in the world worse than too much dough and too little candy,” Petular added. The influencer revealed that she “went crazy” because of the challenge. And then Wanda recommended:You have to find your pivot. If I had to choose my successor out of all the little girls, I would choose you“.
Wallace also came forward very nervously and announced that his presentation was “rural”. The lack of space in the cooler had a logical consequence: When he opened the box, Petular found liquid candy spilled on the outside of the cookie. “The dough, it’s closer to polvoron. It’s like alfajor cornstarch: dry. Ganache, toffee and peanuts are good,” the pastry chef said after tasting it. The above lacks order.”
Immediately afterwards came the time of Rocasalvo, who burned four of his fingers in the process. “There’s good dough. I like it more mature, it’s well golden. In pastry, it’s like a chain: When something goes wrong, it’s harder to camouflage it. So, when the dessert loses its structure, it starts pulling in the peanut butter, the ganache, the berries, and these things happen,” Petular explained.
Alex Belao emphasized that he felt confident, because he was close to Valu and served as a reference. In fact, when testing his preparations, De Santis found some similarities to the model. “The peanut butter is a bit thick and the dough is overcooked,” the Italian chef noted. But Petular loved the look of the dough and the bread.
Anderson made the most “aesthetic” cookie. “It’s very good. It has a little excess, compared to what we offer, in the peanut butter, fudge and ganache, but most of the stuff is creamy. Good job,” Petular summed up.
Then Ian died, and also received praise from Martitegui. “I love the dough and the order you put in the toppings. And I really liked the dessert,” he said. But Petular was not so generous: “For me, this is strange.”
Finally, Joaqui was let go, and in her case, there was agreement among the jury members: “She’s very good,” said De Santis, with the agreement of her colleagues. “It has many points, but for me there’s something that sticks out, which is the candy point. It’s Joaqui’s version of a cookie,” said Petular, who, perhaps because it’s a personal recipe, on this program was more demanding than ever. “For me, it is the dough that most closely resembles the original,” Martitegui concluded.
The only thing left is to find out which participants have guaranteed their continuation in the program thanks to their performance and who have been eliminated from the competition.
After deliberation, the judges called Tobal, Lopez, Aderson and Cervantes to announce that they had achieved the best performances. They then brought Ian, Rene, Joaqui, and Julia Calvo to the front and told them that they were still in the competition.
Martitegui, De Santis and Pitular agreed that it was Rocasalvo, Wallace and Alex Bellao who performed worst, but decided who should leave. Celebrity MasterChef He was the leader of the massacre.
