Two of Nintendo Switch’s best indies just released their native Switch 2 versions at a discount, and Sonic Racing Crossworlds is getting it in December.
Since its launch on June 5, the Nintendo Switch 2 has not stopped receiving games, from exclusives of the caliber of Mario Kart World or Donkey Kong Bananza to ports of titles such as Cyberpunk 2077. In addition, they have also been released native console editions.
And that includes not just Nintendo’s own games (and those we’d like to see arrive), but also third-party titles, which now work better without the need for backwards compatibility.
Sega learned its lesson after the complaints about Sonic x Shadow Generations, which is why they confirmed a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds which yes, there is an update (paid, yes) for those who already have the Switch.
This native version will be released next December 4th in digital format, at the price of 69.99 euros on the eShop. The physical edition will be released in early 2026 and fortunately, the full game will come on the cartridge (it will not be a key card).
Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will have better image quality and will be more fluid on Switch 2. The update package will be available for 9.99 eurosbut there will be a discount between December 4th and 11th to purchase it for just 4.99 euros.
Sega’s title isn’t the only one headed to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, as two of the Switch’s best indies received native ports today.
Dave the Diver and Overcooked 2 join Nintendo’s next generation
It was one of the best indies of 2023, so Switch 2 users were eager to have it in their library. That’s why Team17 made their dreams come true with the announcement of Dave the Diver Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
If you don’t already have it, this is a golden opportunity as it is available for just 19.99 euros on the Nintendo digital store.
And if you already own the Switch version, you’ll be happy to know that Upgrading to Switch 2 is completely free. It’s a rarity these days, so don’t think about it for a second.
Another famous Switch indie that already has its native version of the Switch 2 is Overcooked! 2, the hilarious co-op game that turns your living room into an episode of Kitchen Nightmare.
Overcooked! 2 jobs in 4K and 60FPS on your Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, supports GameChat and GameShareand also incorporates new modes and challenges compared to the original Nintendo Switch version.
In this case, the improvement package is paid (costs 9.99 eurosbut It is on sale for 7.99 euros until November 12), although the full digital version also has a reduced price: 23.99 euros.
