What expert critics say
The tour began with a wave of euphoria in the UK. About the opening night at the Principality Stadium (Cardiff, Wales, July 4) to the journalist Mark Savagefrom BBC News, highlighted the comeback as “the best it’s been since 1995”. The review emphasized the size of the band’s sound, describing it as “huge” and capable of filling every inch of the arena. The overall feeling was one of relief and celebration – the crowd even sang along to the singer’s solo. “Live forever”.
At Wembley Stadium (London, England, July 31, 2025), Stephen Haydenwriting for Uproxx, called the experience “transformative”, noting how “the crowd’s performance elevated the band’s reaction”, creating a rare synergy that “shrinks the immensity of the stadium to the size of a cozy pub”. For him, the show was a testament to the rock life, making “the world seem interesting again for a moment.” It was like rooting for a champion team – maybe Manchester City From the last decade?
Returning to the performance in Cardiff, Pitchfork provided a little more cerebral analysis through Jazz Monroe. The journalist describes the event as “the biggest meeting of our lives” and suggests that the oasis is revitalizing certain British myths. Critics point out that the band managed to balance the heaviness of their legacy with a delivery that validated fans’ collective “imagination,” cementing their almost mythical status. The idea that the current show is the best since the mid-1990s has been reinforced.
On the other side of the Atlantic, the reception was equally enthusiastic. Ethan ShanfieldA critic for Variety, covering the tour’s visit to MetLife Stadium (New York, USA, August 31, 2025), noted that the performance defied cynical expectations. It is worth noting that the group in the United States of America did not achieve the same commercial success as it achieved in the United Kingdom. According to the transcript, the performance “felt less like a repeat of the biggest hits of the ’90s, and more like watching a band still at the peak of their powers.” The review highlights the raw emotions of the event and notes that Oasis “made a miraculously and poignant return”, with moments that brought the audience – and the journalist himself – to tears.
At the famous Rose Bowl Stadium (Pasadena, USA, September 7, 2025), reporter Michael Woodof the Los Angeles Times, cited the crowd’s catharsis in the spirit of “the guns fell silent, the stars aligned,” which was the slogan used in the reunion announcement. The review describes scenes that are almost religious, with “men sobbing into each other’s breasts” during chants such as “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” The outlet praised the artistic execution, noting that the singing and music were “perhaps more intense than ever before.”
Songs included – and those excluded
Of the 23 songs played, eight were hits (What’s the story) Morning Glory (1995) – The album was played almost in its entirety, only deleted “Hello now!”, “It’s electric” and informal noun vignettes “Swamp Song”. First album Sure maybe (1994) is represented by six tracks, while B-sides are compiled Master plan (1998) make five contributions.
The critic Be here now (1997) came out with two tracks (“Do You Know What I Mean?” and “Stand By Me”), while Pagan alchemy (2002) Presentations “Little by little”one of those sung by Noel. Outside of the Seven Elements studio discography, it’s still there “whatever”was released as a single only.
