With the heat arriving and the countdown to summer 2026, Argentines are already starting to make their vacation plans. To highlight next season’s trends, the global vacation rental platform Airbnb has released a report revealing the most popular destinations, both within and beyond national borders, with Brazil’s beaches standing out, as expected.

Platform data shows that although Patagonia and the Atlantic coast Flights continue to be the mainstays of national holidays, with the neighboring continent and a selection of countries in the Caribbean and Central America leading the search for international destinations.
Holidays 2026: the national destinations most requested by Argentines
The ranking of the most searched Argentine cities for the summer of 2025 shows a balance between Mountain refuges, traditional spas and extreme landscapes. Although Buenos Aires is still at the top, the list is completed with destinations that call for adventure and detachment.

The preference for traveling outside the country is also notable. The Airbnb report indicates that the countries most requested by Argentines for vacationing abroad are: Brazilwhich records an increase in searches of approximately 30%, followed by Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica and Puerto Rico.
The propensity for accompanied travel remains high abroad: more than 40% of searches were made by groups and more than 30% by families. In fact, both groups and families have a strong inclination towards options outside of Argentina, accounting for nearly 70% of accommodation searches.
While families are looking for long stays (7 nights or more), Groups of friends mainly choose short stays of 2 to 6 nightsfocusing mostly on international destinations for their vacations.
