XP, the largest brokerage in Brazil, has appointed Adriano Piccinin and Luís Kondic to strengthen its global markets team serving corporate and institutional clients.
Piccinin, formerly a portfolio manager at Safra Asset Management, is now responsible for the FX, interest and commodities trading area, XP reported. He has over 29 years of experience and has worked at banks such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan.
Kondic, who was previously responsible for structured derivatives at Itaú BBA, will lead XP’s structured products unit. He spent most of his 30-year career at Citi, and was also CEO of B3, the Brazilian securities and derivatives exchange.
Both executives will report to Leandro Cruz, President of Global Markets at XP. Kondik is on “garden leave” and will start work on XP in December, while Piccinin started last week.
Pecinin and Kondik replace former XP executives Rafael Barbosa and Olivier Brimmot, respectively.
