Fight for the title between rivals from Paraná
So far, Coritiba have only managed to secure a place in next season’s Serie A, which came on matchday 37, after a 0-0 draw with Athletic. At the top of the standings with 65 points, the Parana team is the favorite to win the competition title, as it is three points ahead of its rival, Atlético PR, which is in second place. To secure the cup, the Mozart-led team only needs a draw against already relegated Amazonas in Manaus. If Atlético PR falters against América MG, Coritiba will also be the champion.
