While the entire state of São Paulo remains on storm alert, the amount of rain recorded in the past 24 hours up to Monday (24) morning reached 180 mm in Ubatuba on the northern coast. This mark is larger than the average for the entire month of November, which is 136 mm, according to the Civil Defense of São Paulo.
Caraguatatuba and Beruipe had, respectively, 122 mm and 120 mm. As of Monday morning, the cities had not recorded any casualties, only flood spots and fallen trees.
Inmet (National Meteorological Institute) has a storm warning valid until Tuesday morning (25) for the entire coastal strip of Paraná and São Paulo, as well as north of Santa Catarina and south of Rio de Janeiro.
Rainfall could exceed 100mm, with winds exceeding 100km/h and hail.
Cemaden (National Center for Monitoring and Warning of Natural Disasters) has two alerts in force for Ubatuba, one for hydrological hazards and one for landslides.
According to the Civil Defense of São Paulo, both Ubatuba and Caraguatatuba may see significant amounts of rain until Tuesday (25).
