Ceara lost to Mirasol 3-0 away from home, at the end of the 35th round of the Brazilian championship. The Fuzão team saw that its opponent performed excellently in the first half and opened a two-goal lead in a calm manner, and in the final stage the match became more balanced, although Mirasol scored the third goal and secured the victory. Coach Leo Conde analyzed the match and expressed his regret for conceding the goal early.

— We expected to defend well and counter-attack, as we did against Corinthians, but we received the goal very quickly. We expected to support the beginning of the match. Mirasol had a very strong start to the match. If we supported this start normally during the match, we would have found spaces — said the Fuzao coach.

Leo Conde praised the team’s second half, but said it lacked precision when finishing the match.

— We had a good second half, we had great size, we created a lot of chances, the ball hit the post, Walter defending, a long header, but we couldn’t be effective, we couldn’t convert size and scoring chances into results — Said Leo Kunde.

The coach concluded his speech by asking for the support of the fans in the upcoming matches, noting that the expectation for Alvinegro in the table is 45 points.

– We are still working on dropping 45 points. But you have to go step by step, match by match, with full focus now on this match against Cruzeiro. The goal is to create a general mobilization of everyone in the club: athletes, management, committee and fans who are always together, I think this is Ciara’s main strength in this tournament. We hope to create this mobilization so that we can play a great match against Cruzeiro and achieve a good result.

Ceara ranks fourteenth in the Brazilian Championship with 42 points in 35 matches. Fuzão returns to action on Saturday (29), at 9pm, to face Cruzeiro at Arena Castelao.
