
Spain faces a moment marked by a housing crisis, stagnant wages, the accelerating emergence of artificial intelligence, and growing threats to European security. With the aim of actively involving young people in determining the direction of the country, Lideremos – a platform for youth leadership and talent – and the Princess of Girona Foundation They have joined forces to organize the RETOS Forum, National meeting in May
The forum will bring together in the same place more than 400 young leaders, experts and representatives of institutions from all over the region. Unlike traditional conferences, Foro RETOS adheres to a flexible, participatory and transversal format that combines roundtables and parallel sector meetings. the goal: Building a joint action agenda that allows for clarification of responses to challenges Economic, technological and social developments in the coming years.
The event will address the issues most important to young people. Among them, employment and talent, with special attention to Creating new job opportunities, Emerging skills training and promoting the entrepreneurship economy. The housing crisis will also play a leading role, and it is one of the problems that most affects new generations.
A special wing will also be allocated to security and defense challenges, with a focus on: Cybersecurity and institutional cooperation in confronting global challenges. In addition, issues such as mental health, sustainability and the role of media for a “more and more informed” citizenry will be discussed.

The forum will be chaired by Lederemos’ Vice President, Xavi García Tort, and aspires to become a space similar to international reference forums, but with its own identity: Transforming the debate to transform Spain. The organizers stress that the goal is for the meeting to produce concrete and applicable guidelines to advance the challenges that will determine the country’s future.
