Miley and Adorny lead Cabinet relaunch meeting

President Javier Miley and Chief of Staff Manuel Adorni chaired a full team meeting this morning with the aim of advancing the definition of the legislative strategy towards addressing the 2026 budget in special sessions.

The meeting, which began at 9:30 a.m., was attended by the president, who arrived minutes before 9 a.m., and was succeeded by the Ministers of State Liberation and Transformation, Federico Sturzenegger, and the Interior, Diego Santilli. Minutes later, the heads of the Ministry of Health, Mario Lugones, of Human Capital, Sandra Pitofilo, the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, the Minister of Justice, Mariano Cuneo Libarona, the Minister of Defense, Luis Petri, the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, and Counselor Pablo Cuerno, entered.

The meeting was also attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Carlos Presti, who passed through the Hall of Busts on the ground floor in uniform, and Alejandra Monteoleva, who arrived accompanied by Bullrich. These are the two appointments the libertarian administration will have in the Defense and Security Ministries when Petrie and Bullrich take office as lawmakers.

The Secretaries General of the Presidency, Karina Maile, the Legal and Technical Secretaries, María Ibarzabal Murphy, the Presidential Advisor, Santiago Caputo, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Martin Menem, also participated.

The agenda includes a discussion of the strategies that the executive authority must intensify to gain the governorates and allied blocs’ accession to the 2026 budget. In addition, labor reform drafts that technical teams are working on in coordination with Sturzenegger can be presented.

After his inauguration, Adorny is committed to strengthening inter-ministerial dialogue and seeks to establish joint coordination bodies, which is why he is expected to repeat these bodies every 10 days.

This Wednesday, he will also make his first appearance at the head of the Mayo Council, which has set an appointment at 11:30 a.m., officially presenting it as its last meeting before December 15, the presentation date set by the body to present the document with the bills that embody the ten points of the Mayo Charter.
