Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) posted on social media that he was the target of a fraud through manipulation generated by artificial intelligence. According to the parliamentarian, the criminals broadcast fake videos in which he appears asking for cash donations, claiming that the resources will be used to finance mobilization against the arrest of Jair Bolsonaro. Flavio added that other Bolsonaro supporters were victims, such as his brother Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro, and federal representatives Nicolas Ferreira (PL-MG) and Sergeant Fahor (PSD-PR).

“If you receive this photo, report it immediately,” the senator wrote. “Criminals manipulated my words using artificial intelligence to pretend I was asking for money. This is fraud.”
Flavio stressed that the family is not doing any kind of financial collection, and that the supposed crowdfunding sites in question are “fraudulent.”
The senator shared a photo in which he appears asking for donations, with the message: “Our leader needs help,” in reference to former President Jair Bolsonaro, who has been detained in federal police custody since last Saturday.
“Help us stay resilient. We need all patriots to unite, together we are stronger!”, the site says with the hit.
Also according to the parliamentarian, photos of former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro and federal representatives Eduardo Bolsonaro (PL-SP), Nicolas Ferreira (PL-MG) and Sergeant Fahor (PSD-PR) were also manipulated.
On Tuesday, the Federal Supreme Court recognized the final sentence against former President Jair Bolsonaro and other defendants in the criminal act of the coup plot. He was sentenced to 27 years and 3 months in prison for five crimes, including the violent abolition of the democratic state and an attempted coup.
He works for the Federal Police Department in Brasilia. Bolsonaro had already been detained in a National Front prison since Saturday, when Minister Alexandre de Moraes (STF) ordered his preventive detention after he tried to violate an electronic ankle bracelet. The former president admitted that he used a soldering iron in an attempt to damage the equipment, a situation he attributed to “hallucinations” and “a kind of paranoia” that the device was faulty.
