Do you know Biohazard Night of Heroes, the Resident Evil show at Universal Park in Japan? Is it canon, takes place after RE6 and features the ghost of Albert Wesker?

When we said that Universal Studios Japan was launching its own Resident Evil show, we never could have imagined that it would transcend even the chronology of the game saga itself.

It’s called Biohazard: Night of Heroes and it’s far from being a mere show to attract tourists, as it hides a plot that, according to Capcom, fits perfectly into the narrative line of the franchise.

Specifically, Night of Heroes features a 100% original story starring Claire Redfieldyour brother Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine and Ada Wong. Come on, there’s almost no shortage of main characters.

The surprising thing is that this spectacle, which It can only be seen at the Universal theme park in Japan.is actually the direct continuation (and it is canonical) of the events we see in Resident Evil 6.

Don’t you believe it? Well, pay attention to the following official excerpt, which may even be linked (in some way) to what we will see in 2026 with Resident Evil Requiem.

Biohazard: Night of Heroes takes place in 2013, after the events of Resident Evil 6. The narrative focuses on the discovery of an abandoned Umbrella Corporation facility on the outskirts of a Japanese city. Drawn by curiosity, residents and tourists mistakenly enter the complex, only to find a nest of bio-organic weapons (BOW) that is awakening.”.

Resident Evil Show Introduces Wesker’s Ghost, and No, It’s No Joke

Biohazard: Night of Heroes is much more than a show. Not only because of the presence of 5 main characters, or iconic villains like Nemesis and the lickers, but also because of its curious canonical plot.

But, of everything we see in this spectacle, the most disconcerting is the figure of Albert Wesker… in ghost mode.

For some reason, Resident Evil’s charismatic villain is still “alive”, or at least that’s what it seemsalthough a fan page for the saga states the following about the ghost Wesker:

A specter of Albert Wesker watches over the unfolding chaos. Whether a lingering spirit or a dark, fragmented memory of the past, Wesker is gone, but not forgotten.”.

How is it possible that Wesker is still alive? For some reason Capcom thought it would be a good idea to keep the villain in the series but be canon. This implies that the character did not actually die. in the history of the saga.

The event is presented as a canonical installment of the Resident Evil (Biohazard) franchise. Its narrative takes place after Resident Evil 6 and was designed to integrate with the established chronology of the main video games and computer-animated films. Characters appearing in Night of Heroes are portrayed with their backstories intact, consistent with their portrayals in the series as a whole.”.

Unfortunately, the only way to experience Night of Heroes is by traveling to Universal Studios Japan, although you can always watch a video on YouTube (like the one we’ve embedded above).

AND Biohazard: Night of the Heroes a key piece to understanding the chronology of Resident Evil? It seems so, which makes us wonder a future game or movie which adapts these events on screen.
