The Botafogo fan admits to supporting his arch rival thanks to friends and became a member of the Rubro Negro to be present at the Libertadores decision.

The rivalry between Flamengo and Botafogo does not seem to be an obstacle, at least for a black and white person from Espirito Santo. After all, he traveled to Lima, the capital of Peru, where the Libertadores decision will take place next Saturday (29). In fact, after being arrested as an “intruder” at a Flamengo fans’ party in the Peruvian city, the rival fan gave an interview to ESPN and admitted that he would support Rubro Negro in the continental decision.
“I have many Flamengo friends in Vitoria (Spain) and I came to hand over the Libertadores champion belt to Mingão. I almost passed them both, because I would have become Brazilian champion,” explained Botafugense.
“Flamengo will win easily, with a score of 3-0 over Palmeiras. Palmeiras is falling to the place it deserves. Now, next year, Botafogo and Flamengo will compete in the Brazilian League and the Libertadores,” the competitor bets.
It is worth noting that Glorioso won the Brazilian Championship and the Libertadores last year. In doing so, they repeated Flamengo’s feat in 2019. In fact, Gávea’s team can achieve this feat again this year.
Then the Alvinegro fan caused surprise by adopting a speech as if he were a Flamengo fan.
“On Saturday, we will defeat Palmeiras 2-0 or 3-0. So I came to celebrate this wonderful party. We will become champions of Brazil as well. We are 5 points ahead,” Al-Dakhil confirmed.
He confirmed that there was the beginning of a dispute, but the majority of Flamengo fans calmed the situation and avoided the worst scenario. However, he showed that he takes it seriously and even joked about his presence at his rivals’ party.

Finally, the Glorioso fan also revealed that he became a member of Gávea’s team due to the context and that he will be alongside his friends on the field.
He concluded his speech by saying: “I had to join Flamengo to ensure my entry. I will be among the Flamengo fans celebrating the title.”
Flamengo and Palmeiras will meet at 6 pm (Brasilia time) next Saturday (29), at the Monumental U Stadium. The Libertadores Cup will be decided in one match, and there is no advantage for any of the finalists. Therefore, in the event of a tie in regular time, the match will have another 30 minutes of extra time divided into two stages. If the result holds, the winner will be determined by penalty kicks.
The decisive match at the Monumental Stadium in Lima brings back fond memories for Rubro Negro. After all, the team was already champions of the Libertadores at this point, in the 2019 edition of the tournament. On that occasion, they won 2-1 over River Plate in the final stage of the encounter.
