The Palmeiras mission launched on Wednesday, 26th of this month, heading to Lima, the capital of Peru, where it will face Flamengo in the Copa Libertadores final. The ball rolls to set the continental championship at 6pm (Brasilia time) on Saturday 29th, at the Monumental U Stadium.

Alviverde left Porto Alegre (Republic of Serbia) at one o’clock in the afternoon, where the team slept after the 3-2 defeat against Gremio, in the 35th round of the Brazilian championship, and he is scheduled to arrive at seven o’clock in the evening.

According to the schedule issued by the club, Palmeiras will begin preparing for the final match next Thursday afternoon, the 27th of this month. The team will train at Alejandro Villanueva Stadium, home of Alianza Lima.

On Friday, the team will visit the final stadium and then conduct the final training session before the decision against Rio.

Injured players Weverton, Lucas Evangelista and Paulinho also traveled to the Peruvian capital. The goalkeeper is the only one who has a chance to participate in the match.

The Libertadores final is Palmeiras’ hope of winning the title this year, especially for Abel Ferreira, who, since arriving at Verdão in 2020, has not gone a single season without winning a title.
