Gospel singer Adriana Lazzara passed away at the age of 28 on Tuesday (11/25). The young woman, born in Nikelandia (GO), on the outskirts of DF, had been battling bone cancer for three years. She has been admitted to the Cancer Hospital in Goiânia since November 5th.
Adriana’s health deteriorated after the death of her father, Geraldo Gomez da Silva, at the age of 63, weeks ago. The man died as a result of bowel and liver cancer.
On the day of her father’s funeral, the singer, who had recently undergone a chemotherapy session, fell ill and had to return to the specialist hospital in Goiânia.
According to reports from family members, Adriana was extremely weak and needed intubation when she was admitted to the hospital again. She reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday night (24/11) and fell into a coma.
Adriana had no children and left her husband, who was known as “Fragrant Adriana”. On social media, the singer’s family and friends mourned her death with sadness.
Adriana’s funeral took place on Wednesday (26/11) in a church in Nikilandia.
Adriana shared her faith and fight against the disease through social media posts. Even while undergoing cancer treatment, she continued to sing during services at the church she attended.
