The match started balanced, with chances for both teams. For Galinho, Issepe took two chances from outside the area and sent them wide. For Tricolor, Juan Potts received the ball in the penalty area, curled it beautifully and was blocked by the marker at the end of the game.
Alvinegro managed to be effective and came forward. Lucas Souza received the ball on the edge of the penalty area, crossed the border well and shot into the corner to score a beautiful goal. Sao Paulo had a great opportunity to equalize with a header from Gustavo Santana, who stopped after a great save from Robert.
The second half started very slowly, and neither team saw any chances. The first opportunity came in the 24th minute through Galinho. After the ball reached the penalty area directly, Lubac compensated for his mistake and shot hard, hitting the post.
