The topic is modern, starting with the theft of historical jewels in the Louvre Museum, but in our case it has a completely different meaning. This does not mean that money or objects will disappear from the Spanish Museum if the threat to the Quimbaya treasure is dissipated, but rather that the alleged modernization, at great economic cost, would mean irreparable distortion of one of the main places of our memory: the American Museum.
