The way to stand out as an influencer

With the increasing presence of social networks in everyday life, producing content capable of engaging an audience is no longer an important skill only for those who want to become digital influencers. Entrepreneurs who use the Internet to promote their business and increase sales, as well as professionals interested in strengthening their own brand, need to master this skill, which is essential for building authority and credibility in any field.

-It all starts with planning. Previously, you could start (creating content) without it, but today it is necessary to differentiate yourself from the competition. Otherwise, it will be just another one – says Neera Silva, market analyst at Sebrae RJ, who shared tips on content production at the event. Influence is the ability to persuade people, as a result of trust and knowledge. An influencer is a producer of valuable content. You don’t have to be shy about selling a product or service or starting something just because everyone else is already doing it. There is always a market.

Those who visited Eu_Videocaster had the opportunity to participate in the process of creating a video broadcast, from planning to editing, including the use of artificial intelligence in this final stage.

— The activity is designed to develop self-esteem and provide technological independence. We use a mix of sophisticated and simple equipment in the experiment, but you can create content using only simple equipment. The important thing is to start, says José Pereira, new media specialist at Senac RJ. Young people have it easier, but fear often stops them. If it doesn’t look good, just do it again.

Young trainee Eric Timoteo, 16 years old, was one of the participants in the activity. He already creates videos for his social networks and intends to grow in this field.

– I want to develop and, perhaps one day, support myself through content production – says, a student of the Professional Management Services course at Senac RJ.

— It was an interesting experience, because it’s not something I have access to where I live — says Renato Cunha, 19, an administrative assistant and resident of São João de Mirite.

– It is important to know the trends. Whoever does not follow the news finds himself without work, concludes student Vito Souza, 23 years old.

Five steps to become a professional

1) Determine your niche and position, choose topics that you are proficient in and love, and that are original. Differentiate yourself with a unique point of view.

2) Plan your growth strategy, knowing the financial or human resources required. Prioritize the platforms your audience consumes and create an editorial calendar.

3) Produce content that informs, inspires or entertains, and always shows commitment to your audience. Experiment with different formats (short videos, photos, live, storytelling).

4) Respond to comments and messages. Encourage conversations and remember that people buy from those who generate connection.

5) Have a media kit, professional email, and a clear value proposition. Track metrics to understand what is improving your results.
