Burruaga and Moleda (PSOE) did not attend the reconciliation ceremony in the complaint for insults against the President of Cantabria

The President of Cantabria, María José Saenz de Burruaga, and the Organizing Secretary of the Socialist Workers’ Party of Cantabria, Agustín Moleda, did not attend, this Thursday, courtroom 11 of the Las Salesas judicial headquarters for the reconciliation of the complaint filed by the former Mayor of Cartes against the Popular for insults and defamation, which was concluded without agreement.

The accusation brought before the lawyer of the Department of Justice of the Court of First Instance No. 6 of Santander, derives from the socialist’s complaint after the words of the head of the executive about the permanent positions he and his sister obtained in the city council while he was a member of the council, a process that Burwaja called “textbook corruption.”

Moleda announced a complaint against Burruaga for insults, defamation and damage to honor in relation to those jobs, which were obtained by “highway” according to the leader of the People’s Party and the government, which considered them “questionable” from a legal standpoint and “unstainable” from a moral and political standpoint. Words in which he later asserts himself, realizing that he had done “nothing but call a spade a spade.”

Thus, the Socialist filed a lawsuit – for the sake of reconciliation – against the “Popular”, and on the occasion of this, this mandatory procedure for filing a criminal complaint on charges of insult or slander took place this Thursday, at 10.30 am, with both parties represented by their lawyers.

Moleda asks the President of Cantabria for 1,000 euros in a request for reconciliation – an amount that is “anecdotal or testimonial” because what the former mayor of Cartes wants is to “correct” the “popular” – and his intention to dedicate this amount to a charitable cause related to cancer.
