These first four episodes of the 5th season of the series had a return that many fans did not expect, as it concerns a character who disappeared from the face of the Earth eight years ago, when he appeared in the 2nd season and gained some animosity from some fans.
Stranger Things You have to be careful with the return of one of your characters
The character in question is Kali Prasad (Linnea Berthelsen), also known as Eightthe other Hawkins laboratory survivor, as well as Eleven and One (Henry Creel), who escaped thanks to his powers before Henry collapsed and killed everyone except Eleven.
The character’s rebellious phase Millie Bobby Brown saw her seek out her mother first in Season 2 and then reunite with Kali, who took her into her gang of criminals determined to get revenge on those who wronged them.
Once and Kali’s paths separated at the end of the second season, and many accused the character of breaking the series’ rhythm in episode 7 of Stranger Things 2, shortly after the demogorgons’ attack on the laboratory, where they were Joyce, Bob, Hopper, Will and Mike.
Episode 4 of the final season, the last so far, brings back Kali, who we haven’t seen in all these years, other than a passing mention in season 4. World upside down for the Dr. (Linda Hamilton).
Kali is a character that most fans haven’t connected with, so the Duffer brothers need to be careful about using her, if at all, in the final battle against Vecna. Its illusionary powers can be very useful, but giving it relevance will consume space for other characters.
Four episodes left Stranger Things to know the result: the next three, Volume 2 arrives in the early hours of December 26th in Spain; the end comes on January 1, 2026.
