The Supreme Federal Court (STF) released information and a video, on Thursday (27), about the Babuda prison complex, known as “Babudinha”, where former Justice Minister of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) Anderson Torres is imprisoned.
According to the court note, the total covered area is 54.76 metres, and contains a bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, kitchen, living room and an outdoor area of 10.07 metres.
According to the Supreme Court, the capacity of the space is four people, but it will be used exclusively as a general staff room for only one guard.
He added: “The space contains a refrigerator, a hot shower, safes, a double bed and a TV. Five meals are served a day (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and supper). Sunbathing is taken outside the cell, even though physical exercise is allowed, with complete privacy and no control over time.”
The court also stated that the site had a health center with two clinicians, three nurses, two dentists, a social worker, two psychiatrists, a physical therapist, three nursing technicians, a psychiatrist and a pharmacist.
“In addition, the space is located 8.2 km from UPA in São Sebastião and 15.8 km from private hospitals in Brasilia, such as Sírio Libanês,” he added.
Torres was convicted in September of attempted coup, formation of an armed criminal organization, abolition of the democratic rule of law, damage to public property, and deterioration of listed property.
