Tense intersection between Yanina Latorre and Romina Scalora: “You are a Peroncha and a feminist”

Yanina Latorre and panelist Romina Scalora were involved in a tense confrontation during the LAM broadcast on Wednesday and the “little angels” argued loudly over statements by journalist Daniel Gomez Rinaldi on Radio Rivadavia that sparked controversy.

It all started when Scalora defended Rinaldi’s position against the criticism received by the Martín Fierro Latino Award: “I say that you never have a standard for what hurts the other person the most. For me, that’s not true.” There, Yanina interrupted her, rejecting her opinion: “Don’t we say every day that we should not talk about corpses?”

“Yes, but here we get scandalized by this and it’s okay because it bothers her. I’m not saying it’s bad, but then you go on Twitter and for something you say here they call you malnourished, stunted. It’s something that happens,” Scalora continued, explaining.

Yanina stood firm with her ideas and stated that as reporters, they shouldn’t have to express their opinions about other people’s bodies, even though that’s something society does anyway: “I can’t believe you, the stubborn feminist, are defending a man who calls another person ‘fat.’”

Scalora actually screamed, putting an end to the discussion when Latorre called her a “Peroncha”: “I don’t call you either a libertarian or a facade, ever in my life. Don’t call me Peroncha. You’ve discussed my position with me. You’ve discussed my position with me without calling me Peroncha.”
