The Ibovespa index closed almost flat on Thursday, after renewing an intraday record close to 159 thousand points, in a session witnessing low liquidity due to the holiday in the United States, as investors awaited the release of Petrobras’ action plan.
The reference index of the Brazilian Stock Exchange “Ibovespa” ended with a negative variation of 0.08%, at 158,421.41 points, according to preliminary data, after reaching the highest level during the day at 158,863.96 points, which is a new peak during the day. At the lowest level of the session, it recorded 158,167.08 points.
The financial volume reached R$11.3 billion before final adjustments, with the North American market closed due to Thanksgiving.
