The two suspects involved in the murder of hairdresser José Roberto Silveira, 59, who was found bound and gagged inside his home in Alto de Pinheros, west of São Paulo, last Saturday (22/11), according to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP). On Thursday (11/27), the civil police requested the pretrial detention of the duo, a request that was accepted by the court.
The Supreme State Security Prosecution said, “Police authorities have identified two suspects involved in the crime and asked the court to arrest them. They are at large. Efforts are underway to locate them.”

Hairdresser dies
- Hairdresser Jose Roberto Silveira, 59 years old, was found dead last Saturday, November 22, inside his home in the Alto de Pinheiros neighborhood, in the western region of São Paulo.
- The body was bound at the wrists and legs, gagged with a towel, and had bruises on its arms, shoulders and nose.
- Since the early 2000s, the hairdresser has been running a salon in Alto de Pinheiros, on the ground floor of the house he shared with his 98-year-old mother.
- The case is being investigated as a homicide by the 14th Police District of Pinheiros, which has requested support from the DHPP.
- The authorities collected images from security cameras that recorded movement in the residence.
- Expert examinations were requested to help determine the circumstances of death.
