One of the dogs was found convulsing in the bathtub, while others showed signs of illness and malnutrition.

This action came after complaints received by the animal protection team, accompanied by a veterinarian, who contacted the police after finding signs of abuse at the site.

The veterinarian who monitored the business reported that he identified dozens of dams (prostitutes used for breeding), suggesting a clandestine dog shelter was being operated without any type of license. The contract for the purchase and sale of dogs was handed over to the police. A turtle was also found at the site.

During the incident, an official arrived at the property and denied mistreatment and abuse of a military police officer, which is why he was arrested.

He and the other resident were taken to Aruga Police Station, where they remained at the disposal of the courts. Forensics were called to the scene and the case was registered as animal cruelty and cruelty.
