General fight: A match in Bolivia ends with 17 players being sent off and injured

The final whistle of the match between Blooming and Real Oruro ended in a 2-2 draw between the two teams. However, this act was also the beginning of a large-scale battle between players and members of the clubs’ technical committee.

The “Stop It” group entered the square to separate the fighters, but the confusion only broke out when the police used pepper gas. After the confrontation, the match referee expelled 17 athletes and club members.

Marcelo Robledo, coach of Real Oruro, suffered a broken shoulder and was taken to hospital, while a worker at Blooming was injured in the face. Both teams will remain in adjudication and may receive greater penalties.

In qualifying for the semifinals, Blooming will have seven absences.
