The Federal District registered 15,467 official jobs in October and accumulated 54,000 new official jobs in the first ten months of 2025.
The data is taken from the Public Register of Employed and Unemployed Persons (Novo Caged), released by the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) on Thursday (27/11).
The capital of the Republic was the second unit in the federation with the highest number of jobs created, behind only São Paulo (18,456). For September, there was an increase of 1.5 percentage points.

The federal capital showed positive performance in three of the five main groups of economic activities assessed, but the highlight was the services sector, where 15,568 new jobs were created.
This is followed by trade (567) and agriculture (103). The industrial (-88) and construction (-683) sectors had a negative performance.
The new vacant positions in the Federal District were occupied, for the most part, by women, who filled 8,124 positions, while men filled 7,343 vacant positions.
People with a complete secondary education were the main people served, with 8,853 jobs. Adults aged 30-39 make up the group with the highest stock of vacancies in DF in October: 4,674.
Brazil created 85,147 new formal jobs. The result is the lowest since March 2025, when 79,000 new jobs were recorded, and the lowest for the month of October since 2020.
The October balance was 2,271,460 admissions and 2,185,313 parcels. Of the total, 67.7% of jobs were considered typical, and 32.3% were considered non-typical, with a focus on casual workers (+15,056) and workers who work up to 30 hours per week (+10,693).
