The Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) has completed preparations to welcome the region’s best single-design sailors, who will compete in the 2025 Wicked SB20 Middle East and UAE Championships from 29 November to 1 December off the coast of Jumeirah in Dubai. … 3.
In its third year in a row, and second as part of the SARF National Championships, the event will become one of the most competitive editions to date, with an expected participation of between 30 and 34 teams at the start line. All teams are part of DOSC’s strong and growing fleet of single SB20 designs, which is currently one of the most active teams in the Middle East.
Darren Sheppard, Race Director and Deputy General Manager of DOSC, explains: “We are finalizing all the details, from the race documentation and welcome packs for sailors, to the layout of the race village and support boats. It is a pleasure to welcome back Roger Wilson as our Race Chairman, and we are all looking forward to the region’s SB20 sailors returning to DOSC for the third year in a row. I hope everyone enjoys some great racing and a great event, both on and off the water.”
The championship weekend will include a race village replicating the successful configuration of the 2024 edition, and will serve as the perfect setting to celebrate the National Day holiday, as the UAE celebrates its 53rd anniversary this weekend. Spectators will be able to watch the event from the public beaches in Jumeirah 3, where the fleet will compete near the beach.

The Wicked SB20 Middle East Championship and UAE Championship Awards Ceremony will be held on December 1 at the DOSC headquarters.
