
In the new budget and financial programming decree, the Federal government Unfreeze 650 million Brazilian reais in discretionary expenditures, Of which 150 million Brazilian reals refers Parliamentary amendments.
This issuance came due to the amendments announced last Friday (21), when the economic team announced the reduction of the blockade, but with a reduction of 3.3 billion Brazilian reais. In total, the net released balance amounted to R$650 million.
In addition to the value of the parliamentary amendments, 500 million Brazilian reals were released within the scope of the law Ministry of Cities. But in this case, the ministry informed that these resources will be reallocated later “to meet other government needs.”
The release of the value of the amendments comes at a time when the relationship between the executive and legislative powers is witnessing turmoil. There remains R$2.6 billion blocked in parliamentary amendments that should be frozen until the end of the year – with amendments being frozen in proportion to the executive’s discretionary funds.
In total, expenditure containment amounts to R$7.7 billion. Of this total, R$4.4 billion refers to bans, while R$3.3 billion refers to emergencies.
