Neymar acknowledges the sensitive situation, but supports the joint decision to play

After a week full of fluctuations and different scenarios, Neymar started the match against Sport and scored for Santos. On Friday night (28), the star opened the scoring at Villa Belmiro, in a decisive match in Pixe’s fight against relegation.

The player did not hide during the break that his condition with the meniscus injury in his left knee was not good. Meanwhile, Neymar stressed that it will not harm his career and only a few people should know his situation.

He said in an interview with SporTV: “To be honest, everything is not fine! But the people who need to know are the doctors, me and the medical staff. These are the people who need to know what happened. I will not harm my career, what I will do is do what is best for me. That’s what I have to say.”

The star also took the opportunity to vent his anger against the press. Neymar said he was very upset by some things that he considered “nonsense.” Furthermore, the player emphasized that he did not ignore the doctors and that the decision to play was made together.

He pointed out, “They are making up a lot of things. I feel sad and upset. I am a human being and no human being deserves to listen to the nonsense that I heard. You, who transmit things, have to be very careful. (Lying) is very harmful to the human mind. These decisions (whether I will play or not) are internal decisions. I did not see doctors, it was a joint decision. I was the one who had to make them.”
