Santos achieved an important victory in their battle against relegation. On Friday night (28), Pixie beat Sport 3-0 and jumped to 15th place, moving away from the relegation zone and away from it until the end of the round.

Neymar was the biggest attraction in the match. Back on the pitch, the star opened the scoring and put in an impressive performance for Villa Belmiro. The player celebrated the result amid a sensitive moment in the tournament, and stressed the importance of goal difference in this dispute.

He said in an interview with SporTV: “We faced a lot of difficulties in the battle against relegation. But now it’s up to us. We know that goal difference is important, and that’s why I was asking the team to keep trying to score goals. We really wanted this win, we wanted a bigger goal difference, because in the end that will be important. Congratulations to the team on the three points and we want to continue from here for the better.”

With a meniscus injury in his left knee, the star has had a week full of twists and turns. However, Neymar said that he feels good physically, and indicated that despite the injury, he will continue to work to help Santos.

“Physically I feel increasingly better. This injury is sad and annoying, but nothing will stop me from doing anything. That’s why I keep playing, is thinking about Santos, thinking about leaving Santos in the Italian League and then we will see what happens.”
