Flamengo will face Palmeiras on Saturday in the Libertadores final. The match will take place at 6pm Brasilia time, in Lima, Peru. The good news for Filipe Luis to assemble his squad is the presence of defender Leo Ortiz, who trained with the group yesterday and is supposed to start at the Monumental Stadium. On the other hand, striker Pedro did not take to the field and was excluded.
After being sidelined since the end of October due to a right ankle strain, Ortiz trained without restrictions. He was ready to be on the pitch in the final, and has a great chance to form a defensive pairing alongside Leo Pereira.
Pedro also traveled to Lima, but did not even appear at Fedena’s camp. Number 9 will not be able to play tomorrow, due to an injury to his left thigh.
Without Pedro, the big question for Filipe Luis is how the attack will be shaped. Bruno Henrique, Luiz Araujo and Everton Cipoliña are the main options. A formation featuring Arrascaeta, Carrascal and just two strikers is also likely.
Possible lineup: Russian; Varela, Leo Ortiz (Danilo), Leo Pereira and Alex Sandro; Bolgár, Jorginho, Arascaeta and Carrascal; Luiz Araujo (Everton Cipollinha) and Bruno Henrique.
