“Vozes do Agro”, an event held by Globo Rural and Valor, will have an edition for the first time in the center-west of the country. The special edition of the meeting will be next Tuesday, the second, in Goiânia, starting at two in the afternoon.
- From the Amazon to the interior of SP: São Paulo producers start investing in açaí groves
- “Cure”: The coffee blossoms turn into green bean-scented tea and generate additional income for the farmer in the off-season
The central idea of the event, as the name suggests, is to give an active voice to those who farm on a daily basis. In “Vozes”, after a short discussion among experts, the audience discusses a topic from the program at their tables to identify potential problems and suggest solutions.
Each table presents its ideas to other participants, who thus have the opportunity to hear other approaches to something that forms part of their work in the sector.
- In the interior of SP: Farm bets on “different vegetables”
In order for participants to be able to give their feedback frankly, discussions take place on the condition that the team of journalists from Globo Rural and Valor cite in the reports the main topics of the discussions, but without indicating the authors of the comments. This format, unprecedented in the sector, has been one of the hallmarks of “Vozes do Agro” since its inception – and will be the model adopted in Goiânia.
In the special edition in the capital, Goiás, the event aims to deepen the discussion of topics that appeared in previous editions, such as credit and rural insurance, among others, and to address the potential and differences between agribusiness in Goiás and the Midwest.
The event will bring together more than a hundred people, including sector leaders, farmers, ranchers, executives from large, medium and small companies, authorities, investors, researchers and consultants.
— It was important, after the great success of the editions of this event in São Paulo, that we visit the main agricultural centres, where this sector takes place. The edition in Goiás can leave a legacy precisely because it is one of the most dynamic states in this area – says Casiano Ribeiro, executive editor of the group formed by Globo Rural, the newspapers Valor and O Globo and CBN Radio, for which he works as a commentator.
- Discover pleasure: The artichoke harvest must be the best in ten years in the country
The event in Goiania will also mark an important moment in the history of Globo Rural, which will turn 40 in 2025. After the “Vozes”, there will be a celebration, starting at 7 p.m., with exclusive artistic performances.
Participation in “Vozes do Agro” is free, but places are limited. Interested parties must register at https://oglobo.globo.com/projetos/vozesdoagro/ and wait for acceptance.
