The Waterboys headline an unforgettable concert at the Roig Arena Auditorium

With all tickets sold out, Water children Tonight they played the first of two scheduled concerts at the Roig Arena. The evening began with Valencian pop band Atlantic and indie folk girl group The Deep Blue, who revived the wait with two concerts.

At approximately 9pm, the Waterboys took to the stage with their energy and dedication, demonstrating why they are one of the most established groups in the world. Folk rock music. With a setlist that combines the band’s emblematic material with songs from their latest album “Life, Death and Dennis Hopper”, about the life of the famous American actor, The Waterboys connected from the first minute with their fans in Valencia, who did not hesitate to sing along to Scott.

The party started with “The Glastonbury Song” – a song about spiritual searching – and “How Long Will I Love You” is a declaration of unconditional love. The Celtic folk of “Fisherman’s Blues” and the personal transformation called for by “This Is the Sea” soon followed. From “Life and Death” and “Dennis Hopper” were played, among others, “Live in the Moment, Baby”, “The Tourist”, “Michel” and “Hoppers on Top”.

After two hours of the show, the band said their goodbyes, because it couldn’t be otherwise: with “The Whole of the Moon,” their most famous song, which deals with the ability to see beyond what is apparent to the naked eye. It’s a short-lived farewell, as The Waterboys will be recurring in the hall afterwards December 5. In addition, the band has chosen a venue in Valencia to play its only concert in Spain in 2026. They will return on September 3, with a concert with a larger capacity, to pay homage to one of their most representative albums: Fisherman’s Blues (1988). This album will be completed by three new albums, as the band announced, which will include recordings of songs contemporary to the original album.
