14 Sevilla and Betis fans were arrested after a brawl near the Sanchez Pizjuan stadium at the gates of the derby.

Last Friday night, November 28, the National Police arrested 14 people who participated in a huge brawl between the Real Betis and Sevilla ultras near the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, in Nervion. The detainees used various fire materials and blunt objects to attack each other. The fight took place just over 24 hours before the Seville derby was scheduled to take place next Sunday 30 November.

As the Corps reported in a memorandum, the agents had established a large-scale preventive police apparatus, as was already reported after the security meeting held at the Government Sub-Commission. Then, the movements of the ultras of both teams were monitored, allowing them to intervene quickly to end the confrontation.

So far, the police have carried out a total of 14 arrests and 14 arrests of members of the two extremist groups who participated in the brawl. The Corps also indicated that the investigation is still open to fully clarify the facts, so it is expected that new arrests will be made soon.
