For the first time in the series’ history, Doraemon and Nobita set foot in Spain, and they do so at a moment as characteristic as the New Year’s Eve. Through this they learn local traditions such as eating twelve grapes in Puerta del Sol in Madrid when it starts New Year.
The appearance of the football player Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad is another of the episode’s biggest attractions, as he appears to demonstrate his ball handling skills.
