Rep. Julia Zanatta (PL-SC) celebrated the announcement made by United States President Donald Trump regarding ground military intervention in Venezuela. The parliamentarian supported the argument presented by Trump to justify the measure, on the basis of combating international drug trafficking.
The congresswoman said on her social networks: “The American government, which was already fighting the Venezuelan drug state by intercepting ships at sea, now announces that it will respond ‘very soon’ also against the Maduro dictatorship on land. I hope that the free world will always react to tyrants who take their people hostage and trample on their natural rights.”

In a speech to reporters, Donald Trump stated that he intends to take the fight against drug terrorists to Venezuelan territory.
“Over the past few weeks, we have been working to prevent Venezuelan drug traffickers, many of whom — not many of whom come by sea anymore, as you’ve probably noticed — from sending their poison into the United States, where they kill hundreds of thousands of people every year,” Trump said.
