The clubs also raised large sums of money throughout the campaign. In the group stage, each participant received US$3 million, plus US$330,000 for victory. Subsequently, the ratings generated US$1.25 million in the round of 16, US$1.7 million in the quarterfinals, and US$2.3 million in the semifinals.

Palmeiras reaches the final stage with the best season in the first stage, after eliminating Universitario, River Plate and LDU in the knockout stage, but with important losses: Weverton, Lucas Evangelista and Paulinho.

Flamengo, second in its group, qualified with wins over Internacional, Estudiantes and Racing, but will not face Pedro and Plata in the final. The confrontation in Lima will be the second final of the Libertadores tournament in the Peruvian capital, the same city in which Flamengo defeated River Plate in 2019.
