The lawyer who defended Miguel Ángel Calvet, one of those involved in the case investigating alleged bribery at the National Disability Agency (ANDIS), has resigned from his position at the Anti-Corruption Office (OA).
Camilo Cordero Fabbri worked as a coordinator in the field of accepting and referring complaints at the government agency, according to Noticias Argentinas.uhLXwg.
The lawyer represents Calvet in a case that led to his being sentenced to four years in prison on charges of exploiting the prostitution of others.
Prosecutor Franco Picardi Calvete accuses former ANDIS president Diego Spagnuolo and 14 other former officials of being part of an organization that entered into purchases of so-called high-cost, low-injury benefits and inputs (PACBI), which are “characterized by high economic cost or long-term treatment, such as very complex surgical practices performed once, as well as biological medicines for ‘rare’ diseases.”
