After a Saturday (11/29) of sun and heat, Santa Catarina expects a change in weather on Sunday (11/30), when systems bringing rain begin to gain strength in the state. As was the case on Friday (11/28), when hailstorms caused damage in some towns of Santa Catarina, there is a risk of storm-related events.
The alert was made by the Civil Defense. According to the corporation’s meteorologists, between Sunday and Monday (01/12) the weather will become unstable again, with thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, wind gusts, heavy rain at times, and hail at times.
The risk is moderate for roof-related events, falling branches and trees, damage to the electrical grid, flooding, and flash floods.
