The 27-year-old has been an assured presence in the team: he started the previous 13 matches this season. Dissatisfied with the technical committee’s decision, Kwao argued with staff and colleagues who tried to persuade him to join the rest of the group. The full-back remained sitting until the end of the activity and ended up not being used in the match.

After the defeat, which kept Metz in second place in the French League with only 11 points in 14 rounds, coach Stephane Le Mignan commented on what happened.

“No problem, I understand your disappointment,” the coach said, avoiding controversy.

The Portuguese Vizella revealed that Quao also played for Famalicao and Moreirense before arriving at Metz, in August 2022, for 600,000 euros. Since then, he has proven himself in the team.
