For winning the Copa Libertadores final, Flamengo secured R$136 million in prize money. As a result, the club’s total profits from the competition amounted to R$187.8 million.

Before the final, Palmeiras and Flamengo had each collected more than R$50 million in CONMEBOL prize money to reach the final of the tournament.

The CONMEBOL prize pool projected that during the group stage, each win would bring in an additional R$1.7 million for the winning team. Since Palmeiras won all six matches in that stage, they secured R$10.2 million in this regard alone. Flamengo, who only managed three wins in the group stage (plus two draws and one defeat), collected R$5.1 million.

As a result, Palmeiras and Flamengo arrived at Saturday’s match with R$56.9 million and R$51.8 million respectively.
