On Friday (28), Plural Indústria Gráfica received five awards at the ceremony of the 33rd Fernando Pini Graphic Excellence Award. Among the winning products were a notebook from Folhinha and one from Ilustrada, both from Bound.
The company won in the categories of “Non-Daily Newspapers”, “Coldset Daily Newspapers”, “General Rotary Offset Magazines and Catalogs”, “Rotary Offset Promotional Publications” and “Grandprix for Best Rotary Offset Printing”.
In the “Non-daily newspaper” category, the winner was the company printing the Fulhenha section dated November 2, 2024. The cover illustration showed soldiers on the corpses of people in the middle of a destroyed city. Someone asked: Why do we go to war?
The text that gave rise to the notebook’s “War and Peace” cover in print explains why humanity has always faced conflict.
Other texts in the notebook explained the conflict between Israel and Palestine in the Middle East, why there is Black Awareness Day and why Brazil celebrates the proclamation of the republic.
In the “Coldset Daily Newspaper” category, Plural won the Ilustrada March 15, 2025 print award. Gilberto Gil appeared on the cover of the notebook with the title “That Embrace.” At the time, the singer was starting his final tour.
Plural also won prints from Revista Piauí (in the category “Magazines Overall Printed Using Rotary Offset Heat Set”) and Eudora Catalog (in the categories “Catalogues and Promotional Leaflets Printed Using Rotary Offset Heat Set” and “Grandprix for Best Rotary Offset Heat Set”), from Boticário.
The Fernando Bini Award for Graphic Excellence is organized by Abrigaf (Brazilian Association of the Graphic Industry).
