Away from home, Cruzeiro did not have a Brazilian league-inspired Saturday night. In Castelao, Raposa took advantage of missed opportunities and ended up drawing 1-1 with Ceara, thanks to an own goal scored by the home team.

After the final whistle, defender Fabricio Bruno expressed his deep regret for Saturday’s result. The defender showed his dissatisfaction with the stumble that saw Cruzeiro leave the Brazilian league title race forever – mathematically speaking.

The player said: “Maybe because of the superiority, because of the amount we created, because of the clear opportunities we had, there is a feeling of sadness, because it was a match to score the three points.”

However, Cruzeiro’s season is not over yet. In addition to the final two rounds of the Brazilian League, Raposa faces Corinthians in the semi-finals of the Brazilian Cup. The knockout stage is already on the minds of Cruzeiro players.

“It’s about working and dedicating yourself to the next two matches, Botafogo and Santos, finishing the Brazilian Championship in the best possible way and then thinking about the Brazilian Cup,” Fabricio concluded.
